The giving of Bonbonieres (also spelt Bombonieres or Bonbonnieres) or Favours, as they are more commonly known, has for a long time been an Italian and Greek tradition.
The Favour is a beautiful gift given to your guests as a memento of your special occasion. Favours are normally given at events such as Christenings, Holy Communion, Anniversaries, Engagements, Birthdays, Bar Mitzvahs, Corporate Functions, Dinner Parties, Civil Partnership ceremonies, and, most commonly of all, on the occasion of Weddings.
Each Favour traditionally holds five sugared almonds or chocolate dragees which represent Health, Wealth, Happiness, Long Life and Fertility.
